The Elliot A. Boxerbaum Award is an award for the consulting community, recognizing collaboration, ingenuity and excellence in security design. This award is given in honor of the late Elliot A. Boxerbaum, MA, CPP, CSC.
Boxerbaum was the founder and president of Security Risk Management Consultants, Inc. His professional background involved more than 25 years in security management and nearly 20 years of additional hands-on security consulting. He passed away in June of 2014 from ALS, and on behalf of the firm, a donation will be given to the ALS Association — Central & Southern Ohio Chapter by SecuritySpecifiers and CONSULT.
This year’s award recipient was Bala Consulting Engineers for their work with Giarratana, LLC. Bala worked to design integrated security systems for two properties, Alcove and Prime, including access control, video surveillance, video intercom and smart home platforms.
The award was accepted by Matthew Ezold, the project manager and Vice President of Digital Planning. A more detailed insight to the project will be published in the December 2025 Security magazine issue.
Congratulations!
